I’m grateful to have completed a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm under the supervision of Dr. Tarvi Teder.
During my visit, I deepened my understanding of lipid mediator pathways and gained hands-on experience in culturing human monocytic cells. We successfully induced the production of several oxylipins, and I practiced the complete workflow from sample preparation to data analysis and interpretation of the results. The generated data will support the methodological component of my thesis on lipid mediators in the brain tumor microenvironment.
It was a wonderful opportunity to develop new practical skills, exchange knowledge with researchers, and experience a new scientific environment. This STSM was a very valuable and rewarding experience!
