Thanks to the EU-RESOLVE COST Action support, I had the privilege of spending two wonderful weeks at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Aarhus University in Denmark, hosted by Prof. Klaus Eyer and his team. During this STSM, I learned a new technique: DropMap single-cell phenotyping, which I have now implemented in my research project on Cyclops syndrome to explore cytokine secretion profiles at the single-cell level.
Beyond the scientific training, I also had the opportunity to experience a new research culture and collaborative environment, which was highly enriching. More importantly, this experience not only provided valuable scientific insights for my specific project, but also led to an exciting, serendipitous finding of unusual cell behaviour that will further extend our collaboration. Stay tuned for upcoming publications!
Bringing together different areas of expertise leads to more impactful results, and STSMs make this possible!
